Pastors' Academy

Study Days & Hours

Our study days and hours can refresh your skills and sharpen your insight in five different areas:

We’ve designed these days and hours to be as accessible as possible. We don’t ask you to prepare or read anything in advance, and there’s no assessment or formal award.

They are all intended for pastors with a good level of theological understanding, but they are open to any men or women interested in learning theology for ministry.

The costs of the days and hours are given on the different pages. If you are in full-time ministry and would like to attend but cannot afford to, please do let us know because we have a bursary fund set aside to help in such circumstances.

Please book by the Tuesday of the week before the teaching is due to occur. Bookings made later than that will cost an extra £5.00, and we may not be able to provide you with lunch.

Feedback from Previous Attendees

"It was just incredibly edifying, stimulating and helpful in so many ways. I’m so pleased to have been there and so grateful that the day was so clearly taught."

“Attending a Pastors’ Academy Study Day was thoroughly worthwhile. It brought great memories back from my university days, but also it brought the joys of Christian fellowship in the seminary environment. The welcome I received, the nice lunch, and the availability of the library – it all contributed to a really great day which I thoroughly enjoyed. What is more, the cost of the day was not prohibitive to those of us from less well-off churches, and I am really thankful for this.”

“I’m really delighted with the introduction of the “study hours” format. Sometimes a study day seems like too much of a commitment in a busy week, whereas an hour a week feels like a treat in the midst of busyness! Each week we’ve picked up from where we left off and no time has been wasted. It’s a brilliant format.”
