Our recent series of posts (starting here) focused on the question ‘Why Study?’. It made the case for pastors striving to keep studying beyond the preparation required for preaching. As a follow-up to that we are posting a series of videos from our partners at PRTS, with whom we offer our ThM course in London (details here). Joel Beeke, Michael Barrett, and Adriaan Neele answer questions that we have put to them about continuing study and its benefits. The first is here, with Joel Beeke answering the question: ‘You have a strong commitment at PRTS to practical ministry, so why would you encourage a pastor to spend time away from the front-line doing further study? Isn’t it self-indulgent?’.
