I’m delighted to announce the launch by London Seminary of a new course for women, Flourish, to start in September. Flourish runs for nine days of lecturing, study and discussion, spread over the course of the academic year. It aims at biblical and theological depth together with practical application. It meets at the Seminary site in Finchley, North London.
Flourish is for women who want to be more thoroughly equipped to serve. It is designed for women active in ministry in the local church, including ministry wives.
With teaching on everything from the doctrine of God, to supporting parents, to responding biblically to our culture, Flourish covers both in-depth theology and practical issues from ministry life.
The course is directed by Julia Jones of Grace Baptist Mission based in Abingdon. Julia has many years’ experience helping and training women in and for women’s ministry. Other lecturers on the course include women with considerable experience of women’s ministry: Linda Allcock, Sarah Allen, Ann Benton, Catherine Haddow, Annie Leggett and Leonie Lucas. There will also be teaching by Seminary lecturers Garry Williams, David Green and Chris Bennett.
The morning of each of the nine days of the course will be devoted to biblical and doctrinal study. The afternoons will focus on practical topics relevant to women’s ministry.
The teaching on Flourish will stretch you, helping you develop your understanding, with opportunities to learn from the experiences of others. It is not intended for those who are entirely new to biblical and theological study.
