Yet for the Christian, whose faith is built on historical fact, the study of history adds weight and significance to the understanding of theology.
In our church history module, students examine how previous generations addressed issues of doctrine and practice, issues which still surface today. The module also encourages, warns and inspires, as we seek to continue the work of those who have gone before us.
The module is divided into four parts
- Early church history.
- The medieval period.
- The Reformation to the rise of Nonconformity.
- The Evangelical Revival to the present day.
